Most BTC casinos let you pick how the balance is displayed: BTC, mBTC (a thousandth of a coin), sometimes µBTC, or a fiat view in CAD or USD. The default at a lot of them is mBTC, and that's where people get sloppy with bet sizes.

Here's a quick sanity check. If one BTC trades at C$100,000, then 1 mBTC is C$100 and 0.01 mBTC is C$1. A slot showing a minimum bet of 0.002 mBTC is asking for 20 cents.
